Seeking to exalt Christ by sacrificially loving one another and our community.
Sunday Morning Worship:
10:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center
Following Jesus is active and on-going, not passive. As we walk with him day by day, we are being transformed into his image by the Spirit's power. As we live in the midst of this broken world, we have fellowship with the Father, the Son, and the Spirit as well as one another. We walk with the Lord through various means of grace as we live in this present evil world as his ambassadors. Failing to walk with the Lord turns our attention and perspective away from the eternal matters to God.
Living in the midst of a broken, evil world, sometimes it is difficult to see what eternally matters. Learning to see and share what the Spirit is doing can bring eternal perspective and reorient our affections to Jesus, bringing others to experience the Spirit in their lives. We seek to see & verbally share the Spirit's work in us and others in every day and seasonal moments.
Jesus rulership produces thankfulness in our lives. Thankfulness is a proper response to Jesus and can be both an immediate and cultivated response to the Spirit's work in our life, and is an on-going response to the work of the gospel that is fostered through seeing and tasting the goodness of the Father in every attitude, every action, and every moment of our life precisely because Christ is at-work in every moment. We seek to live with unguarded gratitude to the Lord for his goodness, compassion, and provision.
An outflow of our relationship with Jesus is generous hospitality, that is seeking the good of our neighbor above our self. Opening our church and our homes for the good of one another and our community honors the Father. We seek to prioritize one another and the stranger as we care for one another as Christ cares for us.
